Als je vroeger in het vinyl tijdperk een nieuw album van een artiest kocht, dan kon het zijn dat je na tien liedjes klaar was en de LP voor de tweede keer kon omdraaien om deze opnieuw af te spelen. Zo heb ik in 1977 de LP Moody Blue gekocht van Elvis Presley voor Hfl. 6,95 met zo’n afschuwelijke oranje ronde sticker met de lage prijs er op en met een stukje dat uit de hoes was geknipt.
Die LP bracht ons destijds tien songs en had een totale speelduur van 30 minuten en 46 seconden.
Op 16 Mei aanstaande komt het nieuwe album van Morgan Wallen uit.
En daar staan maar liefst 37 (zeven-en-dertig) songs op. Omdat ik tegenwoordig mijn muziek beluister via Apple Music zal het niet nodig zijn om halverwege naar de platenspeler te lopen maar ik denk dat ik zo maar tegen de twee uur zoet zal zijn met dit lekkers.
Het nieuwe, vierde album van Wallen heet I’m The Problem en het titelnummer vind ik echt heel erg goed. Omdat ik vrij veel muziek in mijn verzameling heb, op het moment iets meer dan 63.000 songs, zet ik een track niet vaak op repeat maar dat is bij I’m The Problem wel regelmatig het geval.
